Communicating with Purpose — The Nuances of Working for a Non-Profit
Are you a communicator with a strong social conscience who’s always wondered what it’s like to “walk the walk” at work? Hear from three former corporate communicators who now make their professional mark in the Central Texas philanthropic community.
Austin area non-profits are competing for dollars and attention in a crowded marketplace, making the communications professionals’ job more important and challenging than ever. Panelists will share how they made the move to the non-profit sector, unique challenges and rewards of working for a non-profit, and the creative tactics they have used to produce results and stand out in a big way.
Panelists for the luncheon are:
- Melanie Chasteen - Vice President, Marketing and Communications at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas
- Kelli Kelley – Executive Director, Hand to Hold
- Kerri Qunell - Director of Marketing Services at St. Edward's University
